Job Description:


  • 5 years commercial construction experience
  • Mine Safety & Health Administration (MSHA) a plus
  • Florida Phosphate Producers card (FFP) a plus

Plan, direct, or coordinate, usually through subordinate supervisory personnel, activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems. Participate in the conceptual development of a construction project and oversee its organization, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation. Includes managers in specialized construction fields, such as carpentry or plumbing.


  • use long or short term production planning techniques
  • consult with managerial or supervisory personnel
  • inspect facilities or equipment for regulatory compliance
  • interpret maps for architecture, construction, or engineering project
  • perform safety inspections in construction or resource extraction setting
  • ecognize construction industry codes or symbols on blueprints

  • compute production, construction, or installation specifications
  • estimate costs of design materials or construction
  • evaluate construction quality
  • evaluate new construction industry practices
  • recommend alterations in construction or specifications

  • understand government construction contracting regulations
  • direct and coordinate construction of mine shafts or tunnels
  • prepare contract documents
  • make decisions
  • obtain information from individuals
  • oversee execution of organizational or program policies

Minimum Education Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
