On the Third Friday of every month, the Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO), Labor Market Statistics Department releases new data regarding Florida’s nonagricultural employment and unemployment statistics. The report provides comparisons by county, Florida and the U.S. as well as a recap of any initiatives affecting the labor market. A Florida map showing the average unemployment for each regional workforce board is updated from the prior month. This information is posted monthly as new statistics are released. More detailed statistics are available from DEO for Labor Market Info (LMI) and Florida Research and Economic Information Database Application (FREIDA) using the following web links:
Labor Market Statistics include a variety of labor market, economic, and demographic data such as:
Employment and Wages - current employment, projections, and wages by industry and occupation, occupational profiles and career information.
Labor Force - labor force, employment, unemployment, and unemployment rates.
Economic Indicators - Florida Price Level Index, Consumer Price Index, income, and unemployment claims data.
Population - age, race, gender, income, veteran's status, and education information.+
