a county landfill. Inspects all loads arriving for disposal. Computes charge on weight and volume basis.
Measures truck in cubic yards to determine correct volume. Notifies vehicle owner of requirement to label
truck capacity. Keeps and maintains records of activity. Records totals of vehicles, volumes, and categories
of refuse. Operates computerized weigh station requiring basic understanding of micro-computer
hardware. Position located in DeSoto County.
Code Enforcement Officer—JO#12539858
The Code Enforcement Officer is responsible for investigating violations of the County Code of Ordinances.
Greets the general public and answers various questions pertaining to Code Enforcement, etc. Patrols the
County in vehicles or on foot and looks for violations to the Code of Ordinances. Responsible to a wide variety
of calls and complaints involving violations of the Code of Ordinances. Keeps records and makes reports of
activities and cases filed or forwarded for filing. Position located in Hardee County.
Center Branch Coordinator—JO#12539157
Oversees provision of all available services at the Center, ensuring that operational and contract
requirements are met, and coordinates all partner agency participation in the operation of the Center.
Attends staff development training opportunities to enhance and maintain job-related skills and program-
specific/regulatory knowledge. Assists customer with support services and referrals to community-based
service agencies, as determined appropriate. Position located in Okeechobee County.
