Animal Control Officer—JO#12516345
Responsible for the enforcement of County animal control ordinance and state laws relating to animals
and to ensure the public is protected from diseased, problem and vicious stray animals, and that animals
are humanely treated after being impounded. Position also participates in other County Development
Department function areas, such as, but not limited to, Code Enforcement. Works closely with Sheriff’s
Office, Health Department, City and County agencies, and veterinarians. Position located in DeSoto
County.
HVAC Technician—JO#12516096
Perform routine maintenance and inspect, clean, and tune systems to ensure peak performance and
prevent breakdowns. Diagnose and mechanical and electrical issues to identify problems with motors,
and compressors, thermostats, wiring, duct work, vents, and other components. Repair or replace components
and various defective parts. Complete service reports, record parts used, and document maintenance and
repair activities. Transports various items (e.g. tools, equipment and supplies) for the purpose of ensuring
the availability of materials required at job site. Position located in Hardee County.
